This Privacy Policy applies to:

• 1. Users who create or use a Binnie account;
• 2. Users who interact with Binnie smart bins, QR codes, advertisements, polls, quizzes, stories, rewards or vouchers;
• 3. Advertisers, brands, agencies and business representatives who register with Binnie;
• 4. Visitors to Binnie websites and digital platforms; and
• 5. Other persons who communicate with or use Binnie Services.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect different categories of information depending on how you use Binnie.

2.1 User Account Information

When you create or access a Binnie user account, we may collect:

• Full name
• Email address
• Mobile number, where provided
• Account/login information
• Profile information
• User preferences
• Account creation and activity information

2.2 Google Sign-In

Binnie may allow users to create or access their account using Google Sign-In.

If you choose to use Google Sign-In, we may receive information made available to Binnie through Google's authentication service, which may include:

• Name
• Email address
• Google account identifier
• Profile picture, where made available and used by Binnie
• Authentication-related information

Binnie does not receive or store your Google account password through Google Sign-In.

The information received through Google Sign-In is used to create, authenticate and maintain your Binnie account and to provide the Services. Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.

3. ADVERTISER AND BUSINESS INFORMATION

If you register as an advertiser, brand, agency or business partner, we may collect:

• Name of the representative
• Company/business name
• Email address
• Mobile/telephone number
• Business address
• Login/authentication information
• Campaign information
• Advertising materials
• Billing and transaction information, where applicable
• GST/tax information, where required
• Communication history
• Account and campaign activity

Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that information and advertising materials submitted to Binnie are accurate, lawful and authorized for use.

4. INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR INTERACTION WITH BINNIE

When you interact with Binnie services, we may collect information such as:

• QR code scans
• Binnie station/bin identifier
• Location or venue associated with station
• Advertisement or campaign interacted with
• Ad impressions and play events
• Advertisement clicks
• Poll responses & Quiz responses
• Story interactions & Preferences
• Reward and Voucher activity
• Redemption date and time

We may use this information to provide rewards, measure campaign performance, improve our Services and provide analytics to advertisers.

5. REWARDS, POINTS AND VOUCHERS

If you participate in Binnie reward programs, we may collect information relating to:

• Points earned & Points redeemed
• Rewards received & Vouchers issued
• Voucher redemption status & Reward eligibility
• Reward history & Campaign participation

We use this information to administer rewards, prevent fraud and provide users with their reward history.

Certain rewards or vouchers may be provided by third-party brands. In such cases, the applicable brand's terms may also apply.

6. INTEREST AND PREFERENCE INFORMATION

Binnie may allow users to select interests, categories or preferences.

We may use these selections and related interactions to personalize content, offers and advertising where permitted by applicable law.

7. ADVERTISING AND RETARGETING

Binnie operates an advertising and engagement platform.

We may collect information about interactions with advertisements and campaigns, including banner clicks, QR scans, campaign participation, selected interests, category preferences and other engagement events.

Subject to applicable law and required user consent, we may use this information for:

• Advertising measurement and campaign analytics;
• Audience analysis and relevant advertising;
• Retargeting and campaign attribution;
• Improving advertising effectiveness;
• Providing advertisers with aggregated or otherwise permitted analytics; and
• Creating advertising audience lists using eligible user identifiers in hashed form.

Where permitted by applicable law and subject to required consent and relevant platform requirements, Binnie may share hashed email addresses and/or mobile numbers of eligible users with relevant advertisers through a downloadable CSV file or another approved data-sharing method for agreed advertising audience purposes.

Users who have opted out of advertising audience sharing or withdrawn the required consent will be excluded from future audience exports, subject to applicable law.

Hashing is a security measure and does not necessarily make personal information anonymous. Where required by applicable law, Binnie will obtain appropriate consent before processing or sharing personal information for these purposes.

8. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Binnie may send users service-related communications, including:

• Account verification & Login notifications
• Reward and Voucher notifications
• Transaction-related communications
• Important service announcements

Where permitted and where required, we may also send promotional communications such as offers, rewards, campaigns, brand promotions, Binnie updates and relevant advertisements.

You may opt out of promotional communications using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the communication or through available account controls.

9. DEVICE AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION

When you use our website or digital services, we may automatically collect:

• Browser type & Device type
• Operating system & Device identifiers
• Approximate location derived from technical info
• Referring page & Pages viewed
• Date and time of access & Error logs

Binnie may use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies to:

• Keep users logged in & Remember preferences
• Understand website usage & Measure ad performance
• Improve website functionality & Detect fraud and abuse
• Analyze traffic & Support relevant advertising where permitted

Where required by law, Binnie will obtain appropriate consent before placing or using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

11. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

Binnie may process personal information for purposes including:

2. Providing authentication services;
3. Providing Binnie Services;
4. Processing Google Sign-In authentication;

8. Measuring advertisement impressions and interactions;
9. Understanding user interests and preferences;
10. Providing relevant content and advertising;
11. Retargeting users where legally permitted;

14. Processing payments and billing where applicable;
15. Maintaining and improving our products and Services;
16. Conducting analytics and reporting;
17. Complying with applicable laws and legal obligations;
18. Protecting the rights, property and security of Binnie, users and other persons;

20. Creating and providing eligible hashed advertising audience lists to relevant advertisers, where permitted by applicable law and subject to required user consent and applicable platform requirements.

12. LEGAL BASIS AND CONSENT

Depending on the purpose and applicable law, Binnie may process personal information based on:

• Your consent;
• Performance of a service or request made by you;
• Compliance with applicable legal obligations;
• Legitimate and permitted business purposes; or
• Other lawful grounds available under applicable law.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent subject to applicable legal and operational limitations.

Where required, Binnie will obtain appropriate consent before including a user’s hashed identifiers in advertising audience exports or sharing them with advertisers. Users may withdraw the relevant consent or change their advertising audience-sharing preferences through the controls made available by Binnie. Such withdrawal will apply to future audience exports, subject to applicable law and any legally required retention or processing.

13. SHARING OF INFORMATION

Binnie may share personal information with appropriate third parties where necessary for providing the Services or for lawful purposes, including:

• Hosting, cloud infrastructure and technology providers
• Authentication providers & Payment processors
• Email, SMS and communication providers
• Analytics, security and customer support providers
• Advertising technology providers and business partners

Where possible and appropriate, analytics provided to advertisers may be aggregated, anonymized or structured so that individual users are not unnecessarily identified. Binnie may also disclose information where required by law.

Where permitted by applicable law and subject to required user consent, Binnie may share hashed email addresses and/or mobile numbers of eligible users with relevant advertisers through audience data exports. Such sharing may be based on relevant interactions, including banner clicks or selected category interests. Advertisers must use this data only for the agreed purposes and in accordance with applicable law, relevant platform terms and any applicable data-sharing agreement. Hashing does not necessarily make the information anonymous.

14. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Binnie may integrate with third-party services such as Google authentication, cloud hosting providers, payment providers, analytics providers, communication providers and advertising technology providers.

Third-party services may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

15. ADVERTISER RESPONSIBILITY

Advertisers may provide Binnie with advertising materials, landing pages, offers, products, services and other content.

Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that:

• Their submitted information is accurate;
• They have necessary rights and permissions;
• Their advertising claims comply with applicable law;
• Their products and services are lawfully offered; and
• Their privacy and data practices comply with applicable requirements.

Binnie does not necessarily endorse or independently verify every claim, product or service contained in third-party advertisements.

16. DATA RETENTION

Binnie retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing Services, maintaining accounts, providing rewards, security and fraud prevention, resolving disputes, complying with legal obligations and enforcing agreements.

When personal information is no longer required, Binnie may delete, anonymize or otherwise securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal requirements.

17. DATA SECURITY

Binnie takes reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Security measures may include access controls, authentication controls, encryption where appropriate, secure infrastructure, monitoring, logging, backup procedures and security reviews.

However, no internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

18. DATA BREACHES AND SECURITY INCIDENTS

If Binnie becomes aware of a personal data breach or security incident requiring notification under applicable law, Binnie will take appropriate steps to investigate, contain and respond to the incident and provide notifications to affected persons and/or authorities where legally required.

19. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Binnie Services are not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances where such collection is prohibited by applicable law. Where applicable, Binnie may implement age-related restrictions or parental/guardian consent mechanisms as required by law.

Subject to applicable law, users may have rights relating to their personal information, including applicable rights to:

• Request correction of inaccurate information;
• Request deletion of personal information;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;

21. ACCOUNT DELETION

Users may request deletion of their Binnie account and associated personal information, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.

Certain information may need to be retained where required by law, necessary for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, security or other legitimate purposes.

22. MARKETING OPT-OUT

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link included in the relevant email.

Where applicable, you may also request that Binnie stop sending promotional communications through available account or privacy controls. Service-related communications may continue where necessary to operate your account.

Advertising Audience-Sharing Preferences

Where this option is available, users may opt out of advertising audience sharing through the relevant account settings or privacy controls provided by Binnie. Users who opt out will be excluded from future audience exports. Opting out of promotional emails does not automatically mean that the user has opted out of advertising audience sharing, and vice versa. Previously downloaded audience files cannot be automatically removed from advertiser systems; their handling will be subject to applicable law and any applicable data-sharing agreement.

23. DATA TRANSFERS

Binnie may use technology infrastructure and service providers located in India or other jurisdictions.

Where personal information is transferred, stored or processed outside India, Binnie will take steps required under applicable law to ensure that such processing is lawful and appropriately protected.

24. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Binnie Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications or services. Binnie is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services that it does not control.

25. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Binnie name, logo, software, platform, designs, technology, content and other intellectual property owned or licensed by Binnie remain the property of Binnie or the applicable rights holder.

26. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Binnie may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, technology, data practices, legal requirements or business operations.

When we make material changes, we may provide an appropriate notice through our website, application, email or other communication channel as required by law.
